Financial Risk Analyst - Financial Services - Dublin - Permanent

A leading financial services firm are seeking a Financial Risk Analyst on a permanent contract to be based in Dublin. Within this role you will aid with the quantification and reporting of the firm’s capital at risk positioning, gaining an exciting opportunity to work with key stakeholders and senior management. You will play a key part in the streamlining of capital at risk reporting and the automation of risk reporting.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Risk Analyst:

• Manage the running of balance sheet modelling tools to derive solvency estimates
• Assess risk positioning, stress testing and scenario analysis
• Ensure successful delivery of the shared services model with key business units to include Solvency II reporting support, liquidity reporting and other relevant capital at risk metrics
• Manage on-going relationships with other Group functions
• Assist with the onboarding of entities to the capital at risk reporting framework, including Group & entity stress testing, economic capital reporting and regulatory solvency reporting
• Support the improvement & development of the risk reporting process to provide capital at risk insights to a range of committees
• Provide second line review for the Group’s asset regulatory capital requirements calculation

Key requirements of the Financial Risk Analyst:

• At least 3 years’ experience within risk management within an international business environment
• At least a bachelor’s degree within a relevant field i.e. Finance, Business, Mathematics etc.
• A relevant technical qualification would be an advantage
• Experience in a technical role previously within Insurance is an advantage
• Good knowledge of regulatory frameworks (Solvency II or Bermuda regulation an advantage)
• Strong MS Office skills would be essential
• Strong overall understanding of Risk at all levels of a business
