Junior Compliance and Tax Analyst - Dublin - Financial Services - Permanent
A leading financial services firm are seeking a Junior Compliance and Tax Analyst to join the team based in Dublin on a permanent contract. This is an important role for the firm with a great opportunity to develop, you will perform various tasks to ensure the company remains compliant with its regulatory obligations. You will also manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will report into the Compliance/Tax Technical manager with the role seeing a split of 60/40 in compliance and tax related duties.
Key responsibilities of the Junior Compliance and Tax Analyst:

Complete monthly reviews of new business files and review referrals to ensure compliance with the company’s AML / CTF procedures

Aid in quality assurance checks on company PEP/sanction screenings

Investigate SAR’s
-
Assist with maintaining data breach logs and report to the relevant authorities

Facilitate any data subject requests

Manage the compliance mailbox, responding to key compliance requests from other business areas

Aid in tax reporting & payment obligations to HMRC and any other relevant UK bodies on a timely basis

Maintain company registers and facilitate the completion of onboarding and offboarding of company employees within relevant regimes

Provide training on specific compliance areas to other parts of the business i.e. CTF, AML, Data Protection etc.

Assess the impact of new regulatory requirements on the business going forward
Key requirements of the Junior Compliance and Tax Analyst:
-
At least 2 years’ experience in a Compliance related role, preferably within Financial Services

At least a bachelor’s degree within a relevant field i.e. Finance, Law, Business
-
Hold or willing to pursue the LCI designation with up-to-date CPD
-
Fluent in English
-
Strong knowledge of taxation and finance products, UK knowledge an advantage
-
Ability to work under pressure and meet key deadlines
-
Strong communication ability and able to work as part of a team or on own initiative

Strong IT & Analytical skills
