A global retailer is looking for a Tax VAT Analyst to join their team in Dublin 11. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience working in Multinational companies managing multiple VAT registrations. The salary will be around 35K-40K depending on experience.
A global retailer is looking for a Tax VAT Analyst to join their team in Dublin 11. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience working in Multinational companies managing multiple VAT registrations. The salary will be around 35K-40K depending on experience.
Key responsibilities of Tax VAT Analyst:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation, completing and filing of VAT return and all compliance work within EMEA scope (VAT returns, ESL, Intrastat, annual returns, and other ad hoc declarations)
- Ensure all payments are made in a timely manner
- Ensure all the relevant VAT Team controls are completely in a timely manner
- Reconcile the VAT accounts and post any journal, if required
- Manage errors and expectations to minimise the impact on financial result and avoid non – compliance penalties with Tax Authorities
- Manage any queries received by the Statistical office in relation to the Intrastat declarations
- Assist the Tax Manager/ Senior Tax Specialist in all the Tax Audits/ Queries in a professional, timely and efficient manner
- Provide support for Internal audits
- Develop relationship with other depts. Within the Finance team
Key requirements of Tax VAT Analyst:
- 2 - 3 years’ experience of working in Multinational companies managing multiple VAT registrations
- Strong understanding of VAT rules and basis accounting principles
- Can evidence strong skills in time and resource management
- Able to work under pressure
- Strong accountancy knowledge
- Attention to details
- Experience of working with SAP/Oracle or any other ERP tool required
- Experience of working with Excel is required
- Business Degree or Tax/VAT qualification required
