Operations Oversight Manager
Location – Dublin
Salary – 70,000 Euro to 80,000 Euro
Overseeing all elements of operational oversight in the Company Europe and all delegated activities including Administration, Depositary and Investment Management. You will also be undertaking control activities to limit business risk.
Fund Valuation and Unit Price Oversight: Applying a detailed understanding of financial markets, complex market instruments and practices, and product features, such that the oversight of valuations can be conducted in a controlled manner.
Managing operational controls to verify the integrity of valuations and unit prices, proactively identifying areas of concern, and enhancing procedures where weaknesses or potential efficiencies are identified, demonstrating a clear and risk based approach to outsourcing arrangements.
Fund Oversight Processes: Managing operational controls with stakeholders, ensuring the Third Party Administrators receive relevant data for the production of fund valuations and operating controls to ensure compliance with regulations (eg Fund Manager sign off).
Regulatory and Supplier Oversight: Managing operational relationships associated with outsourced relationships, ensuring that each performs their duty in accordance with regulatory guidelines, investigating potential breaches of investment mandates and CBOI/CSSF regulations, liaising closely with fund managers, trustees and custodians to ensure swift and accurate resolution of breaches, with future preventative measures implemented.
Monitoring and analysing supplier performance, ensuring that any deviations from performance or the commercial agreement are clearly identified, mitigated and reported to the appropriate forum, including any mitigating factors which may be significant.
Knowledge of the CBOI regulatory framework relating to Investment Funds
Strong knowledge of Investment Funds, the financial markets in which they operate, and financial instruments
Strong knowledge of Fund valuations, control processes and dependencies on all stakeholders
Strong knowledge of governance structures and required regulatory oversight, implicit in the regulatory environment
Ability to analyse large amounts of data across systems to identify and remedy control issues
Strong ability to communicate and influence on technical issues, to a wide range of stakeholders
Proven aptitude to own problems and confidently make decisions to resolve issues in a risk considered approach
Ability to build strong relationships and actively engage with internal and external stakeholders
Ideal candidate should have 4 to 5 years Fund Oversight experience
