Management Accountant

A growing Irish SME based in Dublin West (D12) is looking to hire an experienced Part Qualified or Qualified by experience Management Accountant to join their busy finance team. In this role you will report to the Finance Director and will have two direct reports you will help manage.

A growing Irish SME based in Dublin West (D12) is looking to hire an experienced Part Qualified or Qualified by experience Management Accountant to join their busy finance team. In this role you will report to the Finance Director and will have two direct reports you will help manage. This is a key role in the finance team whose main responsibility will be the production of monthly management accounts. You will also need to be comfortable completing detailed transactions and have previous experience managing AP and AR functions.

Salary for this role is €50,000 - €60,000 DOE, pension and flexible hybrid working model on offer.

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant

• Preparation of monthly management accounts

• Separate P&Ls for major divisions of the business

• Preparation of Balance Sheet and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts

• Tracking new sales orders and ensure invoicing in a timely manner

• Accurate revenue recognition in management accounts to ensure revenue is release

to the P&L in the relevant period.

• Prepayment and Accrual management.

• Management of work in progress

• Monthly overhead analysis

• Management of major debtor accounts

• Monthly reporting of stock and fixed assets

• Oversight / Management of company Bank Accounts and Credit Cards

• Oversight of AR and AP and management of employees

• Management of year-end Audit

• Irish and UK VAT, Intrastat and VIES returns to revenue

• Other Ad-hoc duties as required

Key Requirements of the Part Qualified Management Accountant

• Minimum of 2-4 years' Management Accounts experience in an Accountancy setting

• Part/Qualified by experience or Newly Qualified with a professional accountancy body.

• Relevant experience in a busy finance department

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Tasbooks, an advantage

• Proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver value

• Ability to communicate effectively: internally and externally.
