A well known Irish company based in Swords, Dublin North is looking to hire an Assistant Financial Accountant - Swords or a Part Qualified Accountant to joint their buy finance team. Salary for this role is in the €40,000 - €50,000 range and it is officed based so you will need to be willing to travel to the Swords office.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant - Swords
• To ensure that all postings to the general ledger for the business are complete and accurate.
• Responsible for all bank processing and reconciliations.
• Responsible for all balance sheet reconciliations
• Responsible for period end result
• Prepare petty cash reconciliations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Preparation of VAT
• Preparation of payroll journals
• Preparation of weekly Non Financials KPI’s.
• Preparation of Y.A.C (Youth Adult Scheme) reports for NTA.(National Road Authority)
• Processing of Sales Invoices, Private Hire, Concessions, DAA, Recharge invoices etc.,
• Working with both internal and external auditors.
• Checking accounts payable payments to ensure accuracy and agreement to supplier statements and ledger.
• Overseeing the credit card analysis and adherence to group and company policy.
• Any other duties as determined by management to safeguard and control the company’s assets.
Key Requirements of the Assistant Financial Accountant - Swords
• Part qualified professional or studying Accountancy exams
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a large organisation.
• Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines is imperative.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise and work under own initiative.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is essential and Sage Accounts (desirable).
