Assistant Accountant - Naas
This role is based in Naas, Kildare but offers hybrid working. Salary is in the €40,000 - €50,000 range DOE plus excellent benefits.
A rapidly expanding Property development and construction group is looking to an Assistant Accountant - Naas or Bookkeeper to support a diverse portfolio. This role will suit an individual with analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding data and presenting key themes will support the business to allocate resources effectively to continue to deliver strong commercial performance. Strong communication skills with an ability to manage time effectively will be important to ensure delivery of the regular month end close activities.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant - Naas
- Support the Finance function to deliver month end close through monthly management reports, with emphasis on performance to forecast, cashflow reconciliations, and the business rolling forecast.
- Support the monthly finance processes, in particular;
- Delivery of accurate and timely reporting across the business portfolio of projects.
- Monitor performance against forecasts for revenue, costs and margin by correlating information from the finance system.
- Analyse variances in performance against targets and ensure that the key drivers of variances are noted.
- Monitor debtor/creditor reports.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Report on external credit facilities with suppliers.
Key Requirements of the Assistant Accountant - Naas
- Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper
- Demonstrated experience of Financial Analysis and Management Accounting
- Strong computer skills and be highly proficient in Ms Office, particularly MS Excel
- Previous Accountancy experience
